Dear Customer,

This is just a reminder that from tomorrow (16 of Dec 2008) all free hosting accounts will be unable to make any outgoing connections to remote servers. This is valid for customers using our free hosting service only. If you are using any of our paid plans - you will be still able to make outgoing connections.

We are forced to do this, because of too many abusers, hacking many sites over the internet. Our data center is forcing us to take actions and stop those abusers and unfortunately this is the only way.

If you use RRS feeds or you just need to use the outgoing connections option - you will have to upgrade your plan to one of the paid plans.

If you want to criticize about the "No Exchange Gift" thing, then keep it to yourself. Christmas is not all about gifts and surprises. But we do like presents. :D

Dear customer,

Due to the increasing number of complaints about abusive free web hosting account usage, FreeHostia is forced to discontinue the support of outgoing connections to remote servers for all free web hosting accounts. This restriction on outgoing connections will become effective on December 16th, 2008.

If outgoing connections are vital for your website (for example, if you are using RSS feeds or any other information from remote servers) we would recommend you to consider upgrading to a paid account. You can do this using the Upgrade section of your Control Panel.
